The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the St. Martin's Episcopal Saints (Metairie, LA) and the host Northlake Christian Wolverines (Covington, LA), observed St. Martin's Episcopal's basketball team edge Northlake Christian by a score of 44-42.

The Saints (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA). The go into the non-league bout with a 15-8 record. In their last bout, Thomas Jefferson nudged Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA), 55-41, in a league bout.

With the loss, Northlake Christian falls to 16-15 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to St. Helena College and Career Academy (Greensburg, LA) to play the Hawks in a 2A District 9 bout on Friday, February 14. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 20-9.
