The Mater Lakes Academy Bears (Miami, FL) basketball edged the visiting Barron Collier Cougars (Naples, FL), 58-54 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Bears now possess a 19-9 record. They play next when they travel to Northwestern for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 18. Mater Lakes Academy will play a Bulls team coming off a 51-39 non-league win over Boynton Beach (Boynton Beach, FL). The Bulls record now stands at 21-4.
