Delaware High School Basketball - Caravel thwarts Smyrna
February 13, 2025: Bear, DE 19701 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Caravel Buccaneers (Bear, DE) and the visiting Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE), observed Caravel's basketball team knock off Smyrna by a score of 64-50.
The Buccaneers (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Zion Prep Academy (Lanham, MD). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 19-7 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Zion Prep Academy prevailed over Rosedale Christian Academy (Baltimore, MD), 68-35, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Cape Henlopen Vikings (Lewes, DE) in a Henlopen - Northern challenge, on Friday, February 14. Smyrna will attempt to improve on its 16-4 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 64-53 non-league loss to Ursuline Academy (Wilmington, DE).
