February 13, 2025: Des Moines, IA 50310 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA) and the host Hoover Huskies (Des Moines, IA), observed Saydel's basketball team knock off Hoover by a score of 52-38.
The Eagles (13-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Van Meter (Van Meter, IA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 11-10 record. In their last challenge, Van Meter was knocked off by Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA), 46-40, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Huskies encounter the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays (Bondurant, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 19. Hoover will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 6-15 record after their 77-38 league loss to Gilbert (Gilbert, IA).
