In Thursday's non-league match, the host Dripping Springs Tigers softball team scored a tight 7-6 win over the Hays Hawks.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Plano West (Plano, TX). The Wolves come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Plano West nudged McKinney Boyd (McKinney, TX), 13-7, in a league contest.
