The Needville Bluejays softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles to 1 in the Bluejays non-league win on Thursday.

The Bluejays now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lamar Consolidated for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 15. Needville will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Austin (Austin, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Fort Bend Christian Academy moves to 5-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to HCYA (Houston, TX) to confront the in a non-league battle on Friday, February 14.
