The Calhoun Sandcrabs softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Rivera Raiders to 2 in the Sandcrabs non-league win on Friday.

The Sandcrabs now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Victoria West for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 17. Calhoun will confront a Warriors team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Eastlake (El Paso, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 2-5.

With the defeat, Rivera falls to 0-6 on the year. The Raiders travel to Second Baptist (Houston, TX) to meet the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Second Baptist won 10-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Sinton (Sinton, TX)
