Benson (Benson, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Upsala Cardinals (Upsala, MN), 64-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Benson upgrades its record to 5-14 on the season. The host Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (Morris, MN) to clash with the Tigers in a AA Section 3 bout on Friday, February 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 15-6. Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta won 76-54 in their recent league bout against Minnewaska Area (Glenwood, MN)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Osakis Silverstreaks (Osakis, MN) in a AA Section 6 bout, on Thursday, February 16. Upsala will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Silverstreaks go into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 46-43 league win over Melrose (Melrose, MN).
