Kentucky High School Basketball - Berea trounced by Estill County
February 14, 2025: Irvine, KY 40336 Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Berea Pirates (Berea, KY), 51-26 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Estill County advances its record to 14-14 on the year. The Engineers host Owsley County (Booneville, KY) to face the Owls / Lady Owls in a District 56 match on Saturday, February 15. The Owls / Lady Owls enter the match with a record of 11-9. Owsley County lost 48-38 in their recent non-league match against Breathitt County (Jackson, KY)
The Pirates now own a 10-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bluegrass United for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. Berea will face a Bluehawks squad coming off a 35-22 non-league win over Washington County (Springfield, KY). The Bluehawks record now stands at 12-18.
