The Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds (Mahnomen, MN) basketball crushed the host Red Lake Warriors (Red Lake, MN), 84-27 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Thunderbirds now possess a 15-12 record. They play next when they host Pelican Rapids for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 18. Mahnomen/Waubun will play a Vikings team coming off a 60-56 league win over Frazee (Frazee, MN). The Vikings record now stands at 19-5.
