Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Kelly Catholic Bulldogs (Beaumont, TX), 7-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Barbe advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to South Beauregard (Longville, LA) to battle the Knights in a non-league match on Monday, February 16. The Knights come into the match with a record of 3-0. South Beauregard won 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Leesville (Leesville, LA)
