Georgia High School Baseball - Lanier County defeats Fitzgerald
February 14, 2026: Lakeland, GA 31635 In Saturday's non-league game, the host Lanier County Bulldogs baseball team scored a close 10-3 win over the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane.
The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Echols County (Statenville, GA). The Wildcats go into the A D2 Region 2 game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Echols County was overwhelmed by Irwin County (Ocilla, GA), 13-0, in a league game.
Next, the Purple Hurricane play the Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 16. Fitzgerald will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Cougars come into the outing with a 0-3 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Worth County (Sylvester, GA).
