Illinois High School Basketball - Genoa-Kingston tops Stillman Valley
February 15, 2022: Genoa, IL 60135 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) and the visiting Stillman Valley Cardinals (Stillman Valley, IL), saw Genoa-Kingston's basketball squad knock off Stillman Valley by a count of 49-41.
With the victory, Genoa-Kingston upgrades its record to 20-9 on the campaign. The Cogs host Sycamore (Sycamore, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 16. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 13-13. Sycamore won 45-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL)
Next up, the Cardinals play the North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL) in a Big Northern challenge, on Thursday, February 17. Stillman Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 13-16 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 8-19 record after their 86-51 league loss to Lutheran (Rockford, IL).
