Kentucky High School Basketball - Model nips Nicholas County
February 15, 2022: Carlisle, KY 40311 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Model Patriots (Richmond, KY) and the host Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY), saw Model's basketball squad hold off Nicholas County by a count of 43-42.
With the victory, Model upgrades its record to 6-20 on the campaign. The Patriots host Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY) to play the Bluehawks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 17. The Bluehawks come into the challenge with a record of 20-13. Bluegrass United lost 70-67 in their recent non-league challenge against Beth Haven (Louisville, KY)
Next up, the Bluejackets play the Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 17. Nicholas County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-18 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-20 record after their 61-40 non-league loss to Lee County (Beattyville, KY).
