February 15, 2022: Hancock, MI 49930 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Westwood Patriots (Ishpeming, MI) and the host Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI), saw Westwood's basketball squad hold off Hancock by a tally of 45-38.
With the victory, Westwood improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Patriots host Menominee (Menominee, MI) to play the Maroons in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 18. The Maroons come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Menominee won 45-26 in their recent league challenge against Kingsford (Kingsford, MI)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes (Lake Linden, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 17. Hancock will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Lakes come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 40-33 league loss to L'Anse (L'Anse, MI).
