South San Antonio Bobcats (San Antonio, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Eagle Pass Eagles (Eagle Pass, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Taft for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 17. South San Antonio will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Holmes (San Antonio, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Eagle Pass falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Fredericksburg (Fredericksburg, TX) to battle the Billies in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 18.
