February 15, 2023: Sandy Hook, KY 41171 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY) and the host Elliott County Lions (Sandy Hook, KY), saw Martin County's basketball squad hold off Elliott County by a tally of 55-52.
With the victory, Martin County improves its record to 23-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Pike County Central lost 64-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY)
