February 15, 2024: Akron, OH 44320 In Thursday's non-league outing, the Buchtel Griffins (Akron, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting SPIRE Institute SPIRE (Geneva, OH), by a count of 73-49.
With the victory, Buchtel upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Griffins host Harvest Prep (Canal Winchester, OH) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. Harvest Prep won 78-64 in their recent non-league challenge against Dublin Coffman (Dublin, OH)
Next up, the SPIRE play the Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 17. SPIRE Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Cadets come into the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 96-49 non-league win over Weir (Weirton, WV).
