Kentucky High School Basketball - Model can't hold off Middlesboro
February 15, 2024: Richmond, KY 40475 The Middlesboro Yellowjackets basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host Model Patriots to 56 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Thursday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 9-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oneida Baptist Institute for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16. Middlesboro will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 68-52 non-league win over Pineville (Pineville, KY). The Mountaineers record now stands at 14-13.
The Patriots (10-17) will now prepare for their contest against Powell County (Stanton, KY). The Pirates come into the non-league contest with a 13-13 record. In their last contest, Powell County edged Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY), 75-61, in a non-league contest.
