Texas High School Softball - Venus nudges Nocona
February 15, 2024: Nocona, TX 76255 Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Nocona Indians (Nocona, TX), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to All Saints for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 15. Venus will face a Saints squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Nazarene Christian Academy (Crowley, TX). The Saints record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Nocona falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Wichita Falls (Wichita Falls, TX) to face the Coyotes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 20. The Coyotes enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Wichita Falls lost 17-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Petrolia (Petrolia, TX)
