Maryland High School Basketball - Maryland School for the Deaf sneaks past Fort Hill
February 15, 2025: Cumberland, MD 21502 The Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles (Frederick, MD) basketball edged the host Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD), 49-47 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Orioles now possess a 23-1 record. They play next when they travel to Frederick Christian Academy for a Maryland Christian bout on Tuesday, February 18. Maryland School for the Deaf will play a Defenders team coming off a 0-0 league Arlington Baptist (Baltimore, MD). The Defenders record now stands at 15-5.
With the loss, Fort Hill falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Sentinels travel to Keyser (Keyser, WV) to play the Golden Tornado in a non-league bout on Monday, February 17. The Golden Tornado go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Keyser won 50-47 in their recent non-league bout against Allegany (Cumberland, MD)
