Kentucky High School Basketball - Jeffersontown can't get by South Laurel
February 15, 2025: London, KY 40744 South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jeffersontown Chargers (Louisville, KY), 70-65 in a non-league match.
With the victory, South Laurel advances its record to 19-6 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Madison Central (Richmond, KY) to meet the Indians in a non-league match on Monday, February 17. The Indians enter the match with a record of 18-10. Madison Central won 70-44 in their recent non-league match against Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY)
The Chargers now own a 19-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Xavier for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. Jeffersontown will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 86-73 non-league win over Ryle (Union, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 25-2.
