Alaska High School Basketball - Tikigaq holds off Napaaqtugmiut
February 15, 2025: Point Hope, AK 99766 The Tikigaq Harpooners basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Napaaqtugmiut Lynx to 59 in the Harpooners non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Harpooners now have a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Deering for a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. Tikigaq will confront a Northern Lights team coming off a 71-42 league loss to Napaaqtugmiut (Noatak, AK). The Northern Lights record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Napaaqtugmiut falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Lynx travel to Buckland (Buckland, AK) to confront the Sissauni in a 1A Northwest Arctic game on Saturday, February 15. The Sissauni go into the game with a record of 9-5. Buckland won 61-53 in their recent non-league game against Shishmaref (Shishmaref, AK)
