Illinois High School Basketball - Winnebago can't hold off Princeton
February 15, 2025: Princeton, IL 61356 Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, IL), 69-63 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Princeton advances its record to 16-12 on the year. The Tigers travel to Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL) to face the Panthers in a Three Rivers - East match on Tuesday, February 18. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 8-16. Erie-Prophetstown lost 71-53 in their recent non-league match against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL)
The Indians now own a 11-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rochelle for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. Winnebago will face a Hubs squad coming off a 90-85 non-league loss to Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Hubs record now stands at 9-19.
