In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Daniel Lions basketball team scored a good 61-50 triumph over the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets.

In their next game, the Lions meet the Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 18. Daniel will attempt to better on its 17-11 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a 23-4 record after their 55-48 non-league win over Southside (Greenville, SC).

With the defeat, Lower Richland moves to 7-12 on the year.
