New York High School Basketball - Owego Free Academy topped by Maine-Endwell
February 16, 2023: Owego, NY 13827 The Maine-Endwell Spartans basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host Owego Free Academy Indians to 55 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seton Catholic Central for a Section 4 Southern Tier - Central contest on Tuesday, February 21. Maine-Endwell will battle a Saints team coming off a 59-57 non-league loss to Athens (Athens, PA). The Saints record now stands at 9-9.
The Indians (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Dryden (Dryden, NY). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Dryden prevailed over Newark Valley (Newark Valley, NY), 95-56, in a non-league contest.
