February 16, 2023: Sleepy Eye, MN 56085 The St. Mary's Knights (Sleepy Eye, MN) basketball crushed the visiting Martin County West Mavericks (Sherburn, MN), 76-54 in Thursday's league test.
The Knights (18-5) will now prepare for their test against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman (Granada, MN). The Jaguars go into the A Section 2 test with a 13-10 record. In their last test, Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman was trounced by Sleepy Eye (Sleepy Eye, MN), 63-31, in a league test.
The Mavericks now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain Lake/Comfrey/Mountain Lake Christian for a A Section 2 test on Friday, February 17. Martin County West will encounter a squad coming off a 66-28 non-league win over Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda (Okabena, MN). The record now stands at 13-9.
