Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Adair County Indians (Columbia, KY), 66-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Russell County upgrades its record to 17-8 on the season. The Lakers host Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY) to play the Colonels in a non-league bout on Monday, February 19. The Colonels go into the bout with a record of 15-11.

Next up, the Indians play the Central Hardin Bruins (Cecilia, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 19. Adair County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-20 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 11-15 record after their 50-38 non-league loss to Green County (Greensburg, KY).
