Van Vandals (Van, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vandals now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wills Point for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. Van will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Sachse (Sachse, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Granbury falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to John Paul II (Plano, TX) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16.
