The Escanaba Eskymos basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Ishpeming Hematites to 38 in the Eskymos non-league victory on Thursday.

The Eskymos now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sault Area for a non-league contest on Friday, February 18. Escanaba will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 62-23 league win over Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 14-3.
