February 17, 2023: Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers (Flint, MI) and the host Mt. Pleasant Oilers (Mt. Pleasant, MI), saw Carman-Ainsworth's basketball squad hold off Mt. Pleasant by a tally of 59-56.
With the victory, Carman-Ainsworth improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Powers Catholic (Flint, MI) to confront the Chargers in a Saginaw Valley challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Powers Catholic lost 59-53 in their recent league challenge against Heritage (Saginaw, MI)
Next up, the Oilers confront the St. Johns Redwings (St. Johns, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 21. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Redwings come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 59-52 league win over Haslett (Haslett, MI).
