Texas High School Softball - Diboll holds off Groveton
February 17, 2023: Diboll, TX 75941 Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Lumberjacks now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Spring Hill for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. Diboll will face a Panthers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to El Campo (El Campo, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Groveton falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Central Heights won 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Spring Hill (Longview, TX)
