Texas High School Softball - Franklin bounces Lufkin
February 17, 2023: Lufkin, TX 75901 Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carroll for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. Franklin will face a Tigers squad coming off a 12-8 non-league loss to Dallas HSAA Red (Plano, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Lufkin falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to El Campo (El Campo, TX) to face the Ricebirds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 18. The Ricebirds enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. El Campo won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX)
