New Jersey High School Basketball - Verona nudges Mount St. Dominic Academy
February 17, 2024: Caldwell, NJ 07006 Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions (Caldwell, NJ), 47-45 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Verona upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Hillbillies host Bernards (Bernardsville, NJ) to clash with the Mountaineers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 21. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 15-13. Bernards won 47-30 in their recent non-league bout against Dayton (Springfield, NJ)
Next up, the Lions clash with the Park Ridge Owls (Park Ridge, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 19. Mount St. Dominic Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 62-43 non-league win over Dumont (Dumont, NJ).
