Texas High School Softball - Jay bounces Holy Cross
February 17, 2024: San Antonio, TX 78228 Jay Mustangs (San Antonio, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Holy Cross Knights (San Antonio, TX), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warren for a 6A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, February 20. Jay will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 17-1 non-league loss to Deer Park (Deer Park, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Holy Cross falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Dilley (Dilley, TX) to battle the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Dilley lost 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Uvalde (Uvalde, TX)
