Mississippi High School Softball - Wesson bounces Vicksburg
February 17, 2024: Vicksburg, MS 39180 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) and the host Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS), saw Wesson's softball squad achieve victory over Vicksburg by a count of 16-0.
The Cobras now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host West Lincoln for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 20. Wesson will face a Bears squad coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS). The Bears record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Vicksburg falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 20. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 2-0. Loyd Star won 6-0 in their recent non-league match against Salem (Tylertown, MS)
