Michigan High School Basketball - Phoenix can't hold off Eastern
February 17, 2025: Lansing, MI 48912 Eastern Quakers (Lansing, MI) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Phoenix Falcons (Kalamazoo, MI), 64-61 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Eastern advances its record to 7-13 on the year. The Quakers travel to Mason (Mason, MI) to face the Bulldogs in a Capital Area - Red match on Thursday, February 20. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 20-1. Mason won 72-36 in their recent non-league match against Western (Parma, MI)
The Falcons now own a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Climax-Scotts for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 19. Phoenix will face a Panthers squad coming off a 57-47 league loss to Bellevue (Bellevue, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 4-14.
