West Virginia High School Basketball - Riverside can't hold off Scott

February 17, 2025: Belle, WV 25015

Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), 54-52 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Scott advances its record to 10-8 on the year. The Skyhawks host Buffalo (Buffalo, WV) to face the Bison in a Freelance match on Thursday, February 20. The Bison enter the match with a record of 8-11. Buffalo won 69-60 in their recent non-league match against Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV)

The Warriors now own a 4-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Capital for a Mountain State match on Thursday, February 20. Riverside will face a Cougars squad coming off a 73-56 non-league loss to Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 4-12.
