Minnesota High School Basketball - Alexandria bested by Providence Academy
February 17, 2025: Plymouth, MN 55446 Providence Academy Lions (Plymouth, MN) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Alexandria Cardinals (Alexandria, MN), 89-75 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Providence Academy advances its record to 24-0 on the year. The Lions travel to Hortonville (Hortonville, WI) to face the Polar Bears in a non-league match on Friday, February 21. The Polar Bears enter the match with a record of 12-4. Hortonville won 57-40 in their recent league challenge against Oshkosh North (Oshkosh, WI)
In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Detroit Lakes Lakers (Detroit Lakes, MN) in a AAA Section 8 challenge, on Friday, February 21. Alexandria will attempt to improve on its 15-4 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 6-18 record after their 69-64 non-league loss to Park Rapids (Park Rapids, MN).
