February 18, 2022: De Soto, KS 66018 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars (Shawnee Mission, KS) and the host De Soto Wildcats (De Soto, KS), saw Shawnee Mission Northwest's basketball squad hold off De Soto by a tally of 53-48.
With the victory, Shawnee Mission Northwest improves its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Olathe East (Olathe, KS) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 22. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 5-14. Olathe East won 55-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Gardner-Edgerton (Gardner, KS)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS) in a United Kansas challenge, on Tuesday, February 22. De Soto will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record.
