The Hillcrest Christian Cougars basketball team (Jackson, MS), was nudged 56-55 in Friday's non-league battle with the host St. Joseph Fighting Irish (Greenville, MS)

The Fighting Irish now possess a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christian Collegiate Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 19. St. Joseph will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 58-47 non-league loss to Hillcrest Christian (Jackson, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 20-4.

The Cougars (22-12) will now prepare for their battle against Riverfield Academy (Rayville, LA). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 11-11 record. In their last battle, Riverfield Academy edged Rossville Christian Academy (Rossville, TN), 58-57, in a non-league battle.
