In Saturday's non-league contest, the United Longhorns (Laredo, TX) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (Edcouch, TX), by a margin of 5-0.

With the triumph, United moves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Longhorns host Rivera (Brownsville, TX) to play the Raiders in a non-league contest on Saturday, February 18. The Raiders come into the contest with a record of 3-1. Rivera won 14-1 in their recent non-league contest against Donna North (Donna, TX)
