Louisiana High School Basketball - Franklinton thwarts Salmen
February 18, 2025: Slidell, LA 70451 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA) and the host Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA), observed Franklinton's basketball team knock off Salmen by a score of 66-54.
The Demons (20-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA). The Hawks come into the 4A District 7 challenge with a 21-7 record. In their last challenge, Archbishop Hannan prevailed over Loranger (Loranger, LA), 70-24, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Chalmette Owls (Chalmette, LA) in a 5A District 7 challenge, on Friday, February 21. Salmen will attempt to improve on its 12-24 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 9-25 record after their 50-48 league win over Slidell (Slidell, LA).
