Massachusetts High School Basketball - Newburyport can't get by Lexington
February 18, 2025: Lexington, MA 02421 Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA), 62-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lexington advances its record to 11-10 on the year. The Minutemen host Arlington Catholic (Arlington, MA) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, February 21. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 5-5.
The Clippers now own a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Reading for a Cape Ann - Large match on Wednesday, February 19. Newburyport will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 45-35 non-league win over Stoneham (Stoneham, MA). The Hornets record now stands at 5-0.
