The Mater Lakes Academy Bears (Miami, FL) basketball edged the visiting Northwestern Bulls (Miami, FL), 56-50 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Bears now possess a 20-9 record. They play next when they travel to American Heritage for a non-league bout on Friday, February 21. Mater Lakes Academy will play a Patriots team coming off a 65-28 non-league win over Aubrey Rogers (Naples, FL). The Patriots record now stands at 19-8.
