Wisconsin High School Basketball - Monona Grove can't hold off Verona
February 18, 2025: Monona, WI 53716 Verona Wildcats (Verona, WI) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Monona Grove Silver Eagles (Monona, WI), 64-57 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Verona advances its record to 22-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Janesville Craig (Janesville, WI) to face the Cougars in a Big Eight match on Thursday, February 20. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-16. Janesville Craig lost 68-64 in their recent league match against Madison La Follette (Madison, WI)
The Silver Eagles now own a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beaver Dam for a Badger - Large match on Thursday, February 20.
