Kentucky High School Basketball - Boyd County trounces Johnson Central
February 19, 2024: Ashland, KY 41102 The Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) basketball crushed the visiting Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY), 99-57 in Monday's non-league contest.
The Lions now sport a 23-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenup County for a non-league contest on Friday, February 23. Boyd County will meet a Musketeers team coming off a 60-48 non-league win over West Carter (Olive Hill, KY). The Musketeers record now stands at 16-13.
The Golden Eagles (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 7-14 record. In their last contest, Shelby Valley was routed by Pikeville (Pikeville, KY), 72-37, in a league contest.
