In Wednesday's league test, the Bayside Bears (Palm Bay, FL) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Westwood Panthers (Fort Pierce, FL), by a count of 17-1.

Next, the Bears meet the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers (Melbourne, FL) in a non-league test, on Thursday, February 20. Bayside will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Hustlers go into the test with a 1-0 record after their 8-7 league win over Space Coast (Cocoa, FL).

The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln Park Academy (Fort Pierce, FL). The Greyhounds go into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Lincoln Park Academy was routed by Vero Beach (Vero Beach, FL), 20-4, in a non-league test.
