The Leander Lions softball squad (Leander, TX), was edged 6-5 in Thursday's non-league game with the host East Central Hornets (San Antonio, TX)

With the triumph, East Central improves its record to 9-0 on the year. The Hornets travel to O'Connor (Helotes, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, February 20. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 5-2. O'Connor won 5-0 in their recent league game against Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX)

In their next game, the Lions battle the Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 19. Leander will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Jaguars come into the match with a 1-2 record after their 7-4 non-league win over Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX).
