In Wednesday's league outing, the Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD) basketball squad edged the visiting Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), by a count of 54-53.

The Chargers (2-7) will now prepare for their outing against Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Hornets go into the Southern Maryland outing with a 9-5 record. In their last outing, Great Mills was tipped by Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD), 56-37, in a league outing.

The Braves now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they host McDonough for a non-league outing on Friday, February 4. Chopticon will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 71-30 league loss to Stone (Waldorf, MD). The Rams record now stands at 4-9.
